Well, Hoppy New Year folks!  There certainly were a lot of fireworks going off on New Year’s Eve… we imagine there was a lot of pent up emotion in the people of Sheffield at the stroke of midnight for obvious reasons.

2020 was a pretty strange year.  Still, even within the difficult parts and uncertainty, we felt extremely supported by our loyal customers.  It’s been encouraging to be queuing to get into a shop only to see someone come out wearing a Loxley Brewery hoodie!

There were some good moments too.

The Wisewood Inn received a full refurbishment and we even got to have some people come back inside it for a while there.  And The Raven Inn turned 1 in November.

Dave has been kept on his toes this year with hand bottling hundreds of our beers, including our new Milk Stout, Black Dog (if you were lucky enough to get some!).

And, in December 2020, Loxley Brewery were invited to sell their range of fantastic bottled beers in the Sheffield John Lewis department store. Here’s a little taster of how the team got on:

With the prospect of another imminent lockdown heading our way, we remain confident that this year – with the help of a vaccine – we’ll be able to enjoy a few pints together (and then some to make up for lost time!) in our pubs.
